Joe Biden blamed on Wednesday Donald Trump's supporters for the crushing defeat of Democrat Terry McAuliffe in Virginia's gubernatorial race, suggesting if his agenda passed before Election Day that the results may have been different.  'I think it should have passed before Election Day, but I'm not sure that I would be able to have changed the number of very conservative folks who turned out and the red districts who were Trump voters. But maybe,' the president said during a White House event on Wednesday. When asked if Democrats should have won in Virginia considering Biden won it by 10 points in 2020, the president said: 'I know we did, but we also - I was running against Donald Trump.'

The New Jersey gubernatorial race was officially called for Democrat Phil Murphy Wednesday evening after the contest was deemed too close to call nearly 24 hours after polls closed. Murphy won by a razor-thin margin – 50 per cent to 49.2 per cent – in a state expected to be a landslide for President Joe Biden's party. With the victory, the incumbent governor became the first Democrat to win a gubernatorial reelection in New Jersey in more than 40 years. Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli protested the call with a retweet from a post made by his communications director. 'With the candidates separated by a fraction of a percent out of 2.4 million ballots cast, it's irresponsible of the media to make this call when the New Jersey Secretary of State doesn't even know how many ballots are left to be counted,' Stami Williams tweeted Wednesday after the AP called the election for Murphy. Murphy led Ciattarelli, a former New Jersey State lawmakers, by more than 16,000 votes Wednesday afternoon when 11 per cent of counties had yet to report, pulling out a wider lead thanks to returns from heavily-blue Mercer County, where the state capital of Trenton is located. Some have speculated the election could come down to a recount.  Unlike some places, New Jersey does not have any minimum requirements or guidelines for an automatic recount. A candidate or group of at least 10 voters can petition a Superior Court judge for a recount up to 17 days after the election. The race has also been plagued by counting issues that led to vote tallies being doubled in one county and election workers accidentally locking machines in others.

Henry Ruggs III's blood-alcohol level was twice Nevada's legal limit and he was traveling at 156mph in the moments leading up to the car crash that left another driver dead and injured his passenger, according to police. Ruggs's mugshot was released Wednesday, showing the now-former Las Vegas Raiders receiver with a neck brace and a cut across his nose. The Raiders released Ruggs just hours before the former first-round draft pick's first court appearance on felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and reckless driving. Cops said Ruggs was driving his Corvette at 156mph before colliding with the victim's Toyota RAV4 at 127mph at 3:40am on Tuesday in Las Vegas. The Toyota burst into flames and the driver and her dog died. The woman was not immediately identified. The former University of Alabama star appeared to be impaired and refused a field sobriety test before being transferred to the hospital, according to police. A gun was also found in Ruggs's Corvette. Injuries to Ruggs and his passenger, Rudy Washington, have not been specified publicly, but he was wearing his neck brace to Wednesday's hearing, according to reports. Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson did not immediately respond to messages about the charges. Probation is not an option in Nevada for a conviction on a charge of DUI causing death, which carries a possible sentence of two to 20 years in state prison. The possible sentence for reckless driving is one to six years in prison, with probation available.

'It's garbage': Biden DENIES report he's giving $450,000 to migrants separated at the border under Trump

President Joe Biden was confronted by a Fox News reporter about the claim that his administration will give migrant families who entered the country illegally up to $1 million on Wednesday. Fox had asked Biden if the reported payments 'might incentivize more people to come over illegally.' Biden replied, 'If you guys keep sending that garbage out, yeah.' The lump sums have been put forward as a way for the U.S. Justice Department to settle lawsuits with migrants who say the policy caused them lasting psychological damage.

The swoop was anticipated by her legal team who have vowed to wage 'war' to allow convicted killer Mack to start afresh, citing double jeopardy laws and the impact it will have on her six-year-old daughter, Stella.

Icing on the donut! Dems now face state NJ Senate defeat at hands of TRUCKER who spent just $153 of his $10,000 GOP donations on campaign (and $66 of that was at Dunkin!)

Ed Durr, a truck driver from South Jersey, may have pulled off a stunning upset victory over one of the most powerful politicians in New Jersey in the state Senate race on Tuesday. New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney (right) is trailing Durr by about four points as of Wednesday afternoon. The Democrat spent millions defending his seat in 2017. The party's underperformance throughout the blue state has captured national attention. The incumbent Democratic Governor Phil Murphy is just barely ahead of his Republican challenger in a race that polls had indicated would be a blue landslide.

Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, a likely 2024 presidential candidate, became the latest national GOP figure to reference the vulgar phrase. He said it 'exposes the dishonesty' of media.

Progressive Democrats led by Ilhan Omar suggested the party needs to go even further to the left and didn't do enough to combat the Republican's 'race-baiting bulls***' as warring factions played the blame game for Terry McAuliffe's crushing defeat in Virginia and a close race in New Jersey on Tuesday night. Senator Tim Kaine (D-Ohio) said he hoped his colleagues would treat the dismal showing like the 'Ghost of Christmas Future' and moderates called for an end to in-fighting with Biden's agenda still stalled and his approval ratings plummeting. Even the mainstream media was damning of the results and the fallout with CNN saying Biden returned from Europe to a 'political nightmare', The New York Times suggesting the president's falling approval rating 'heavily shaped' the dismal showing, and The Washington Post said it confirmed the collapse of the coalition that propelled the Democrats to victory over Donald Trump in 2020. 'The menacing thunder couldn't get much louder for Democrats,' Lisa Lerer of The NY Times wrote. 'The Republican resurgence on Tuesday in Virginia - a state that President Biden won by 10 percentage points last year - and surprising strength in solidly blue New Jersey offer a vivid warning of the storm clouds gathering as Democrats look warily to the horizon.' progressives and pair of Senate centrists.

'Currently going through the seven stages of grief!' Liberal hosts get roasted online for their election night 'meltdown' following Republican Glenn Youngkin's Virginia gubernatorial victory

Hosts on MSNBC and CNN were unable to contain their shock at McAuliffe's defeat, with Jake Tapper looking at a map of the election results and saying flatly: 'Oh my God.' Commentator Joy Reid joined Rachel Maddow on MSNBC and launched an astonishing tirade against 'dangerous' Republicans, warning that voting for Youngkin - 'a soft white nationalist' - was a gateway to more 'hardcore nationalism.' Over on CNN, Van Jones said that Youngkin was to Trump what the Delta variant was to Covid-19, saying it's the 'same disease, but spreads a lot faster and can get a lot more places.' Their shock and disappointment at the result gave people on Twitter endless joy, with one jokingly comparing it to the 'seven stages of grief.'

The results in the Virginia governor's race raised the prospect of a difficult 2022 for Democrats, where their narrow House majority will be put to the test in a tough environment for President Joe Biden.

Donald Trump tore into his former favorite news channel for calling the Virginia governor's race for Glenn Youngkin after CNN and MSNBC, accusing the network of wanting a Democrat to win.

There are many reasons I am excited about last night's barn-burner election results in the Virginia governor's race. First and foremost it is a clean, direct repudiation of the insanity that has overtaken school boards in Virginia, especially the divisive, toxic and dangerous agenda that is Critical Race Theory. And it is a devastating kill shot for a Democratic party that has gone so far off track from where normal, rational mainstream Americans currently are. There is truly no way for anyone to spin this any other way (although just a quick glance at Twitter will show that some of the most radical characters on the left are already trying). It will take weeks to completely unpack the autopsy of this race but as we begin to peel back the onion a little bit on what happened last night one of the most striking factors was the glaring absence of President Trump. Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin (left) could not be more a different personality to President Trump (right). He is a congenial, calm-spoken, everyman. A former vestry server at the Holy Trinity Church in McLean, VA who has been married to the same woman since 1995 and has four children. In fact the best thing I can say about him is that he reminds me of the beloved children's television host Mr Rogers. Yes, he is also a fabulously wealthy and accomplished businessman but quite frankly that barely registered with me while he was running because he focused so clearly on the meat-and-potatoes issues impacting Virginia voters. He could not be further away from the proudly bloviating, self-aggrandizing, crass, immoral adulterer our former President Trump is.

'Unvaccinated' Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has COVID and will miss Sunday's game vs. Chiefs: Reigning MVP said in August he was 'immunized' against the virus

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday as it is revealed he is unvaccinated. The NFL Network was the first to report the news. Packers spokespeople did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for confirmation. Both NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and ESPN's Adam Schefter are reporting that the reigning MVP is unvaccinated. The Packers were already without receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, both of whom missed last Thursday's game. Adams tested positive for COVID-19, while the unvaccinated Lazard was found to be a close contact, necessitating that he be away from the team for five days, per league rules. Adams has not yet been cleared to return. Second-year quarterback Jordan Love, 23, is now in line to make his first NFL start. Due to league protocol, Rodgers will not be allowed to return to the team before November 13, and possibly later than that. The Packers host the Seattle Seahawks a day later on November 14.

In the early 1970s, Michael Lesy was a graduate student with photography on his mind. His friend was a motorcycle delivery boy who ferried film from drugstores to be processed at a factory. 'What we used to do for a while... is raid the dumpsters,' Lesy told DailyMail.com. That 1971 summer in San Francisco, he amassed an archive. 'Every week, for four weeks during the summer, we took home whatever snapshots we found. They were in the trash because the machines that made them-duplicates, triplicates, quadruplicates-made them faster than the people on the line could stop them,' he wrote in his new book, Snapshots 1971-77, images are seen above. 'We guessed we took home seven thousand a week. I'd spend days looking through them. Some I kept; most I threw out.' Years later, Lesy was back in his hometown of Cleveland and another opportunity for snapshots cropped up. Through a friend, he met a drugstore owner who didn't know what to do with the pictures people did not pick up. Lesy waited 50 years to publish his found collection of snapshots. 'I always had it together. This book could have been made at any time,' he explained but added the legal risk before was high. 'Fifty years later, everything and nothing has changed,' he wrote.
